Lavish’s Your Independent Grocer Raises $2,440 for Manitoulin Health Centre’s “Smart Infusion, Smarter Care” Campaign

Little Current, ON – August 11th, 2025 – Lavish’s Your Independent Grocer in Little Current has proudly announced that its checkout campaign has raised $2,440 to date in support of the Smart Infusion, Smarter Care fundraising initiative for the Manitoulin Health Centre. 

 

Lavish announced today that its in-store and online checkout campaign has been extended through August 31, 2025 and to amplify community impact, Lavish will match customer donations at 20% (up to a maximum of $2,000).

 

“We’re grateful for the generosity we’ve seen and want to help it go even further,” said Lavish. “By extending the campaign and adding a 20% match, every contribution makes a bigger difference.”

 

Customer donations collected at checkout will support The Smart Infusion, Smarter Care. campaign that is dedicated to bringing advanced medical technology to Manitoulin Health Centre - a two-site facility that serves as a healthcare lifeline for more than 13,000 permanent residents, as well as many seasonal visitors across the Manitoulin region. The 20% match will be calculated on total customer contributions during the campaign period and contributed by Lavish up to $2,000.

 

Smart infusion pumps are essential tools in modern healthcare, designed to reduce medication errors and significantly improve patient outcomes by ensuring the precise and safe delivery of life-saving medications. With these pumps, MHC will be able to:

 

  • Administer medications with greater accuracy.
  • Provide better care for critically ill patients.
  • Strengthen its commitment to delivering the highest quality healthcare close to home.
