Shriner’s Haweater Unit gifts $5,000 to the Manitoulin Health Centre Mindemoya, Manitoulin Island

 

Mindemoya, ON - On October 2, 2020, The Manitoulin Health Centre (MHC) received a donation of $5,000 from the Shriner’s Haweater Unit.; These funds are earmarked to expand the emergency department facilities at MHC’s Mindemoya location.;

 

“Let's Emerg Together,” is the Campaign Slogan chosen to champion the Capital Campaign - Mindemoya Site Emergency Department Renovation and Expansion Project. The Emergency Department at this site needs to be renovated and expanded, as it strives to meet its mission of, “contributing to the health and well-being of all who come to us in need.” The total funds necessary for these capital improvements are $5 Million with fundraising goal of $2.5 Million.

 

Tim Vine, Vice President Corporate Support Services & Chief Financial Officer said “MHC has always been able to count on the generous support of the community. I am pleased to accept this donation on behalf of MHC. Thank you!"

 

Willis Campbell, Chairman of the local chapter of the Shriner’s Club said “All the funds were privately donated by the Nobles of the Shrine Club. We are very pleased to be able to help in this needed community investment”.

 

MHC, the Board of Directors and the Fundraising Committee would like to express their sincere thanks to the Shriner’s for their continued interest and investment in the health of our community.
