Technology Solutions Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Manitoulin Health Centre requires a Technology Solutions Analyst on a permanent full-time basis.  The Technology Solutions Analyst (TSA) works closely with other members of the IT department as well as clinical and corporate managers to build and promote technical solutions in clinical and support areas. The Technology Solutions Analyst will utilize data extraction and report writing skills to provide evidence-based information to inform decision makers. They will utilize current technologies to build efficiencies and interoperability within current systems and processes.


QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Licensure)

 

Required:

  • University Degree or Community College Diploma in Information Systems
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation
  • Mandatory proof of fully immunized COVID—19 vaccination status  

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with MEDITECH
  • Training in LEAN principles and CQI
  • Experience in a healthcare setting in a related position
  • Certifications to support technical competencies

 

Other:

  • Ability to provide regular attendance 

 

Knowledge/Skills
 

  • Proficiency in several Operating System Platforms: Windows, Linux, Cisco iOS 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and other databases 
  • Knowledge of programming languages 
  • Proficiency with HTML, XML, API 
  • Proficiency in technical writing of manuals and, policies and procedures 
  • Knowledge of Interface engines such as Mirth, Biztalk, etc. 
  • Knowledge of Hospital Information Systems or Electronic Medical Records an asset
