Registered Kinesiologist or Physiotherapist (Temporary Full-Time – Up to 18 Months)


Manitoulin Health Centre requires a Registered Kinesiologist or Physiotherapist to work at its Little Current Hospital site.


This position coordinates and provides assessment, monitoring, educational support and information to patients and families within the Cardiac Rehab Program.


The RKin or PT will also participate in other exercise-based/educational programs delegated by the Physiotherapy Manager and provide MHC employee ergonomic assessment/expertise as requested by the Occupational Health Nurse or Human Resources Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Licensure)



  • Registration with the College of Kinesiology or Physiotherapy of Ontario
  • BCLS certification is required
  • Mandatory proof of fully immunized COVID—19 vaccine status

  • Proficiency in computer software applications: Meditech Client, Microsoft Outlook, Physio-tools, Policy and Procedures and Learning Management System 
  • Knowledge of Bill of Patient Rights 
  • Proficiency and knowledge of infection control policies and procedures including hand hygiene and isolation protocols 
  • Proficiency in the use of department equipment 
  • Proficiency and knowledge of assessment tools for Registered Kinesiologists including the ability to decide which are best suited for each patient’s assessment needs 
  • Knowledge necessary to make competent clinical decisions 
  • Knowledge of treatment modalities and exercises necessary to maximize each treatment outcome 
  • Knowledge of contraindications, limitations and hazards of treatments and pathologies encountered in the practice
